Wi-Fi
We do not provide a TV as we try to promote exploration about town. However, we recently added Wi-Fi to the amenities list. So now you can send that last minute email if you must or stream Gunsmoke on your laptop or phone.
Record Player
A turntable will play original vinyl records, only for and about convicts.
How to Use: Place the needle onto the record gently, careful to not scratch the records. Make sure the power in on, enjoy!
Dominoes
Dominoes and a deck of cards to pass the time in jail are located on middle table. Two foldable table are located behind the lounge chairs.
Prison Yard & Fire Pit
Enjoy outdoor fire atop the Prison Yard for your private enjoyment. Light switch is in inside, next to the door. Follow the walkway around to the stairs behind the jail door. You can sunbathe, read, smoke, light the fire pit, stargaze, or almost any other legal activity.
How to Use: Take the gas key and box of matches, located in the wall cubby near the front door. Turn the gas on with the key, then light the gas ring in the lava rocks. When finished with your fire, turn the gas off and return the key to the inside wall shelf.
*In case of emergency, fire extinguisher is located next to the mini-fridge.
Coffee Maker/Water
Enjoy complimentary coffee and water. For breakfast and fancy coffee, visit Corner Drug Cafe, located around the South corner of the ally.
How to use: Lift the lid and pour desired amount of water. Lift the brewer handle and insert coffee pod. Lower handle and press Brew.
Still bottled or canned water in the fridge.
Toiletries
Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and Body Lotion are always stocked and available for use.
*Do not block the drain when showering or the shower floor will flood in the rest of The Cell Block.
Wine
Enjoy a complimentary bottle of The Cell Block’s own Tempranillo wine. Made by Red Caboose Winery. Tasting room located in Clifton Tx, on Hwy 6. Wine glasses and bottle opener available.
Polaroid Pictures
An instant camera (remember the days of Polaroid pictures?) in on the table. Watch your new memories develop. In lieu of a guestbook, pin your pic or mug shot to the wall board, signed with your real or alleged name & date.
How to Use: Film is already loaded. Point & shoot. Two pics only.

AC / Heat
The original construction of the jail consists of solid concrete walls, floors and ceiling. The Cell Block retains its inside temperature quite well but understand Texas has hot summers months and some cold winter nights. We try out best to make your time in jail as cozy as possible, but we will not be able to refund nights based on temperature adjustments inside or outside.
During nice weather, you may open the windows.
How to use: Remote control hangs on the wall near the front door. The AC/Heat is already set at the most efficient temperature. You may adjust a few degrees by pressing (+) or (-).
The bedroom door fan helps to pull air to your bedroom. You can adjust the fan by turning the dial on top of the fan.
Additional fans are provided during the summer and heaters during the winter for optional use.
*At the hottest time during the summer, the AC can only cool the unit 20 degrees cooler than outside. The thermostat will not drop below 70 degrees in the summer.
